Time of reintegration

AT LAST, THE TIME HAS COME. The time when the mystic has owned and integrated every part of himself within his microcosm. In this mandala, every corner of the cosmos is bound by golden chains into a giant, interlinking network. It is as if the Great Chain of Being, fashioned by Platonists and Renaissance mystics to express their insight into the inter-relatedness of all life, has gone cosmic and multidimensional. The more the eye looks, the more the golden chains embrace and encircle and link and hold everything within their infinitely complex spider’s web of vital energy.

 

In such a comprehensive vision, both the dark and the light are equally valid parts of the whole, equally held within those all-encompassing chains. So it is that when all parts of the self are accepted and integrated – the shadows of the ego not less than the rest – the being becomes fully quickened and whole.

 

The more we can see and acknowledge the parts of ourselves that are dark and difficult, without rejecting or escaping from them, the more complete and integrated we become.
