The secret life of flowers

SOMETIMES IT SEEMS AS IF everything in nature is wiser than we are. Every flower knows the whole, knows how to belong in it, exactly as she is, without any desire to look different, to grow somewhere else, to live in a different way. 

Perhaps flowers experience their growth, their opening, their wilting and their dying away as the ecstatic movements of a dance with time, a dance that, if drawn, might look like this small mandala.

 

Maybe sometimes flowers even communicate in a secret language with each other, connecting also with the sun and the stars to honour the existence of which they are all a part – and to share a laugh or two at our expense.
