Galactic dance

AS IF OBSERVING the rigorously choreographed structure of some courtly dance, these stars, planets, suns, comets and asteroids keep a constant distance from each other within their galaxy as it wheels its firework spiral through space. Each celestial body is held in its place by the invisible forces that create and move the galaxy, forces far beyond its knowing. 

 

Each is but one component of the beauty of the whole, yet any planet or star, however small or close to the edge of the swirl, would be missed; its absence would subtly invalidate the whole design. The same is true for each of us in relation to the world, whether our presence is like that of a great planet or a tiny asteroid; the whole would not be whole without us.
