THERE IS no other place but here, there is no other time but now. Everything is here in this small moment, just as so much is crammed into the space of this small mandala, which looks as if a greedy child has grabbed all the brightest jewels in the box and gathered them around herself.

Yet this is how we truly are in the world, if we only had eyes to see it. All the richness and beauty we could ever need is piled up around us right now, right here. It is a question of changing the gestalt, so that we focus on these sparkling jewels, all these shining stars and suns, rather than fixing our attention on the black emptiness behind. But this magnificence lies within us, while we go on staring out into the world, and looking for it there. |
