  Heavenly kharabaat
IF THE HERETICAL Sufi mystics had been free to create or choose their perfect meeting place, rather than gathering secretly in their kharabaats in the no-man’s land outside the city, then perhaps this place would have met with their approval. Through their eyes, though, drunk with the divine, this may also be how their rough and ready kharabaats would have appeared to them in any case.
This is a place created by visionaries who recognised the need to balance and harmonise the human environment with nature: a healthy ratio of trees to towers. A sacred circular city ringed in by mountains whose weather is made magical by the proximity of such a well-conceived built environment. At its heart, the large garden of meditation offers such views of the surrounding paradise that those who enter it wish never to leave.
