| The time of reintegration | ||||
|
AT LAST, the time has come. The time when the mystic sees that all things are inextricably interconnected, the time when, through this intimate understanding of the nature of existence, he is reintegrated into the whole. By rising up out of the isolated ego awareness into pure undivided consciousness, he has ended the painful sense of separation that all of us feel at some level deep inside, whether or not we care to acknowledge it.

In this mandala, every corner of the cosmos is bound by golden chains into a giant, interlinking network. It is as if the Great Chain of Being, beloved of Platonists and Renaissance mystics, who fashioned it to express a similar insight into the inter-relatedness of all life, has gone cosmic and multidimensional. Links spread out in every direction; the more the eye looks, the more tracks and pathways unfold across the design in an infinitely complex spider’s web of vital energy. And how can one who knows he is an integral part of this feel an outsider? |
